I am passionate about biodiversity conservation, education, and fostering curiosity and stewardship of our amazing and precious natural features, which we depend on for our health, well-being, and survival. Citizen science and place-based education can contribute to both science learning and competency and help foster curiosity and stewardship, which is why I am interested in both! Place-based education programs like the Vernal Pool Patrol provide opportunities for students to learn science and engage in place-based education and citizen science and help make a difference in the conservation of these important wetlands.
