Contact Me

I have a Master's Degree in Biology and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Studies. I am a member of the state Project Learning Tree board and was named 2020 Project WET Ohio Facilitator of the Year. Prior to my position at Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District (CSWCD), I was a National Park Interpretive Ranger and a faculty member at Kent Stark where I taught non-majors Biology. CSWCD is a government agency with a focus on improving the quality and reducing the quantity of stormwater. As part of our Public Involvement, Public Education program we help communities and their schools paint storm drains and rain barrels, plant trees, install pollinator, rain and native gardens, remove invasive plants and clean up streams. We do grade appropriate lessons, field days and presentations about soil, forestry and water topics. We also do professional development with teachers. This summer, we took Cuyahoga County high school science teachers to Old Woman's Creek for 3 days of immersive estuary training. We also focused on hands on, place based and career training curriculum in our 3 day workshop in Cleveland Metroparks. We offer graduate credit with most of our PD and we have scholarships and grants for many teacher and student experiences.
